CAIRO, May 20 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli reviewed a project proposal to optimize the tourism potential of the Holy Family Trail, during a meeting with Mounir Ghabbour, a prominent figure in Egypt's tourism and hospitality industry, and a group of investors on Tuesday.

Based on a vision for a comprehensive development of the areas hosting a large number of monasteries and churches, the project involves establishing several hotels for tourists who will visit these religious sites, Ghabbour told the premier during the meeting.

The project seeks to create a unique spiritual experiment for visitors, Ghabbour said, noting that it will be self-financed.

He said a company with EGP 5 billion in capital has been established, and it will start preparing for this project.

Meanwhile, Madbouli stressed the state's readiness to provide all means of support for the project, once a full study, financing plan, and a general scheme are submitted for the tourism and service projects to enhance the visitor experiment along the Holy Family Trail, which extends over around 3,500 km, passing through 25 sites in 11 governorates.
