CAIRO, May 19 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun had a one-on-one meeting that was followed by expanded talks attended by delegations from both countries at Ittihadiya Palace on Monday.

Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy said the two leaders discussed ways of fostering bilateral relations, especially in the fields of economy, infrastructure and energy, as well as reconstruction efforts.

The spokesman added that the talks addressed the mechanisms for supporting Lebanon's stability and restoring regional security and peace, amid major challenges facing the region.

Shennawy stated that the two presidents held a joint press conference to review their talks' results. (MENA)
