CAIRO, May 17 (MENA) - The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that the value of Egyptian exports to Arab countries reached $16.2 billion in 2024, compared to $13.6 billion in 2023, marking an 18% increase.
This came on the occasion of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Baghdad to participate in the 34th Arab Summit, which is being held at a critical time with numerous challenges facing the Arab region.
The summit presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen Arab solidarity and confront the current challenges facing the region.
The agency pointed out that Saudi Arabia topped the list of the largest Arab importers from Egypt in 2024, with Egyptian exports to the Saudi Arabia reaching $3.4 billion , followed by the UAE with $3.3 billion, Libya with $2 billion, Morocco with $1 billion, Algeria with $996 million, Sudan with $ 866.2 million, Iraq with $816 million, Lebanon with $763 million, Jordan with $752 million, and Palestine with $461 million.
The value of Egyptian imports from Arab countries reached $14.3 billion in 2024, compared to $12.4 billion in 2023, marking a 14% uptick. (MENA)
