CAIRO, Sept 15 (MENA) - Egyptian and Omani Special Forces have concluded the joint military exercise "Mountain Castle" that ran from Sept 4 to 15 at the military drills zone in the province of Al Jabal Al Akhdar.

The drill comes as part of the Armed Forces' training plan for fostering military cooperation with friendly and sisterly countries.

The training included presenting a set of theoretical lectures on various topics to achieve harmonization between the participating forces and unify military concepts.

Egyptian and Omani Special Forces carried out a set of ambush patrols and reconnaissance raids, and conducted trainings on combat operations in mountainous and built-up areas. Shooting drills were also carried out by using different weapons.

At the end of the training, the participating forces implemented a simulation of practical raid on a border village by securing vital buildings, evacuating the injured and restoring control of areas inside the village.

The training was attended by a bunch of Egyptian and Omani top brass. (MENA)
