CAIRO, June 18 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty commended the ongoing cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

He lauded the interest of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in opening branches of Egyptian universities abroad, including Cairo and Alexandria universities.

He said this will contribute to promoting Egypt's position abroad and enhance cooperation between Egyptian universities and other educational institutions abroad.

Abdelatty made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour.

The two sides reviewed coordination between the two ministries with regard to the agreements, programs and MoUs signed between Egypt and other countries in the field of higher education.

The talks also tackled means of offering all needed support for Egyptian students abroad via Egyptian embassies and consulates as well as benefiting from those specialized in various domains in serving the march of national development.

They also touched on the pivotal role of the Egyptian cultural offices abroad in furthering cooperation with various countries via students exchange programs in addition to promoting the link between Egyptian expats and their homeland. (MENA)
