CAIRO, May 16 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted Egypt's strong support for the unity of the Yemeni state and its institutions along with the country's independence and territorial integrity.
He said the security and stability of Yemen are key to achieving security in the region and in the Red Sea region.
The foreign minister's remarks came at a meeting with Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Shaya Mohsin Zindani on the sidelines of the ministerial preparatory meeting of the Arab League Council in Baghdad on Thursday.
Abdelatty voiced Egypt's support for all efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis in a way that will help materialize the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people.
Abdelatty highlighted Egyptian efforts aimed at resuming the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the war-torn enclave.
The two ministers probed ways of promoting international support for the Arab Early Recovery and Reconstruction Plan. (MENA)
