CAIRO, April 30 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli welcomed cooperation with Belarus to establish a logistical center for storing and drying grains, stressing that this project would be of great importance to Egypt.

This came during a meeting he had with Belarusian counterpart Roman Golovchenko Tuesday at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, and an expanded session of discussions that included discussing a number of cooperation files of common interest.

At the beginning, Madbouli welcomed the Belarusian premier on the first visit to Egypt by PM of Belarus.

The premier praised close relations between the political leadership of the two countries, which were clearly demonstrated in the exchange of official visits by the presidents of the two countries over the past period.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visited the Belarusian capital of Minsk in June 2019, while Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited Egypt twice in 2017 and 2020.

Egypt attaches great importance to increasing the trade exchange with Belarus in a way that lives up to the level of distinguished political relations between the two countries and their great economic potential, through expanding partnerships with the private sector in both countries. (MENA)
