LISBON/PRAGUE, May 15 (MENA) - Egyptian Ambassador to Portugal Wael El Naggar has received President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) special award for 2024, titled "Champion of Peace".
Delivering a speech at the awarding ceremony, attended by representatives of 43 countries, Naggar conveyed a message of appreciation from President Sisi.
The ambassador pointed out that granting this award to Sisi is the best evidence of the dedication of the Egyptian State in all its official and civil sectors, under the leadership of President Sisi, to supporting regional and international stability.
This reflects Egypt’s firm belief that solidarity and joint cooperation can face and overcome all challenges, he added.
Egypt has been and will continue to be a country that supports peace, as well as all regional and international efforts to achieve it in various areas of conflict, the ambassador said.
Since the beginning of war on the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian State has been working to establish an immediate ceasefire and facilitate the access of the enclave's residents to humanitarian and relief aid by all means, he noted. (MENA)
