CAIRO, Dec 18 (MENA) – The fourth round of the ministerial meeting of trilateral negotiations involving Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) kicked off Monday morning in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The meeting falls within the framework of finalizing the negotiation path agreed on by the three countries, with a view to accelerating reaching an agreement on the guideline and rules of filling and operating the dam within four months.

"Egypt upholds dealing with the negotiations with seriousness and good intentions in order to reach a just and balanced deal that serves its higher present and future national interests, along with achieving the shared interests of three states," said Spokesman for Egypt's Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Ghanem in a statement issued Monday.
