BEIJING, June 3 (MENA) - Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin highlighted the strong and evolving relationship between China and Sweden, with particular focus on green technology, cultural exchange, and scientific collaboration, as reported by TV BRICS.
Over the past 75 years, China-Sweden relations have developed steadily, and cooperation in various fields has continued to move forward,” said the Ambassador.
To further strengthen the partnership, the Ambassador proposed four key areas: deepening political trust, expanding practical cooperation, increasing people-to-people exchanges, and bolstering multilateral collaboration. "Our two countries need to carry forward traditional friendship, increase communication and mutual understanding, and deepen cooperation so as to move forward our bilateral relations," he said.
Ambassador underscored the importance of opening channels beyond politics and business. "We have held a number of events... including some receptions, concerts, art performances and exhibitions," he noted, adding that cultural and educational exchanges play a vital role in enhancing mutual understanding.
In terms of trade and tourism, he praised Sweden’s participation in major Chinese expos. He also pointed to a significant rebound in Chinese tourism to Sweden, even surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
In addition to traditional sectors, new partnerships are being explored in AI, digital economy, bio-manufacturing, and low-carbon technologies. "We will take [the] 75th anniversary as an opportunity… to make greater and more positive contributions to the prosperity and progress of the two countries as well as global sustainable development," he said.
