CAIRO, June 3 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reaffirmed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s reconstruction efforts, citing the country’s strategic importance and natural wealth.
Madbouly made the remarks during talks with Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Qahtan Taha Khalaf at the Cabinet premises in the New Administrative Capital.
He emphasized interest in bolstering bilateral relations and advancing the trilateral cooperation framework grouping Egypt, Iraq and Jordan.
The Iraqi envoy highlighted growing cooperation, especially regarding Egyptian private sector projects in Iraq, and proposed enhanced collaboration in tourism, education, and energy.
Both sides discussed activating joint agreements and prioritized files under the trilateral mechanism.
Madbouly also conveyed greetings to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and congratulated Iraq on hosting the recent Arab League summit.
