CAIRO, Oct 22 (MENA) - Minister for Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Amery Browne said his country appreciates its relationship with Egypt, which is keen on building bridges of friendship with all countries, including Latin American and Caribbean ones.

Browne made the remarks during a meeting with Egyptian Ambassador to Venezuela, Trinidad, and Tobago Karim Amin on Tuesday, as part of his current visit to Trinidad at the invitation of President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Christine Carla Kangaloo, according to an official press release.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a raft of international and regional issues, atop of which is the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Middle East.

Browne said his country had recognized the State of Palestine, hailing Egypt's efforts to de-escalate the situation in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomat briefed the Trinidadian official on the latest developments in the Sudanese crises, Egypt's role in Africa, as well as its support to sisterly African nations. (MENA)
