CAIRO, Oct 7 (MENA) - Spokesman for the Armed Forces Col. Gharib Abdel Hafez said that the army and police are adamant to pursuit the remnants of terrorist groups.

In statements to the state-owned station, Radio Masr, on Thursday, the military spokesman added that the state is waging a war against terrorism in parallel with moving ahead with the development process.

He also spoke about the courage and heroism of personnel in all branches of the Armed Forces during the 1973 October War.

The military spokesman greeted the Egyptian people for their patriotism, perseverance and endurance, citing their relentless support to the army during the war time. He also highlighted their admirable success to preserve the country's national identity in the face of the post-2011 challenges and their strong stand by the army in the battle against terrorism.
