TOKYO, July 25 (MENA) - Egypt Olympic football team lost by goal against Argentina on Sunday in the second round of the group stage of the men’s football tournament at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Argentina's Facundo Medina hit a sting in the 52nd minute of the second half, despite a good Egyptian run, to lose for the first time in the tournament as Argentina grabbed the first 3 points.
Argentina rose to the second place of the group standings, behind Australia, which led the group with 3 points, while Egypt came fourth behind Spain with one point for each team.
The Pharaohs started with nine players who participated in the main game against Spain, along with Ammar Hamdi and Salah Mohsen, who took the place of Emam Ashour and Taher Mohamed.
Soon, Australia will play Spain in the same group.
In the last round, Egypt will play against Australia and Argentina will face Spain. (MENA)
