NEW ALAMEIN CITY, July 16 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Wednesday that nominations for Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture (SCC) originate from within the cultural community, with the authority to approve and issue the formation decree vested in the prime minister.

In a press conference following the weekly Cabinet meeting, Madbouli described the selected council members as “cultural luminaries,” stressing that cultural work is not directly tied to age but rather to the depth of experience that qualifies individuals to be relied upon.

He added that including individuals with extensive and diverse expertise, while ensuring no possibility of personal considerations, is essential, particularly given that the Supreme Council of Culture is responsible for selecting recipients of various state awards.

Madbouli also emphasized that the state relies on youth and younger age groups in many other fields, especially executive positions that require dynamism and fresh ideas, such as entrepreneurship, technology, and communications. (MENA)
