NEW ALAMEIN, Egypt, July 16 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed the government’s keenness on following up on the measures taken to ease the relocation of civil servants to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) in line with presidential directives.
Madbouli made the remarks while following up the progress realized so far in handing over housing units to relocated employees in the New Administrative Capital during a meeting on Wednesday at the government headquarters in New Alamein City.
The meeting was attended by Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Minister Sherif el Sherbiny, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Financial and Administrative Affairs Mohamed Ragai and a number of senior officials at the Finance Ministry.
Sherbini reviewed the handover phases of housing units for employees in both the Third Residential District (R3) of the NAC and the “Zahret Al‑Asima” project in Badr City.
About 4,192 housing units were allocated for relocated employees in R3 with 3,921 of them handed over.
As for Zahret Al‑Asima in Badr City, 8,593 units were earmarked for civil servants under the first phase , of which 8,514 have been delivered.
The second phase — already completed — comprises 1,576 units, 899 of which were handed over, with the rest in progress, he said.
The third phase, now under way, will add 7,080 units, he added. (MENA)
