CAIRO, July 8 (MENA) - The Public Prosecution ordered Tuesday detention of 11 drivers pending investigation over charges of deliberately driving in the opposite direction and endangering the lives of people.
The detentions orders have been issued following a video circulated on social media showing 11 vehicles, including microbuses and a private bus driving in the wrong direction on the main road from 10th of Ramadan City toward Belbeis, Sharqia Governorate.
After investigations, the police managed to identify the vehicles and apprehend the drivers involved.
Following interrogations, the drivers have undergone drug tests showed that two of them had consumed cannabis. (MENA)
