CAIRO, June 24 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi made a phone call Tuesday with Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Sisi expressed Egypt's condemnation and complete rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, following the recent Iranian attacks on Al Udeid Air Base, praising the Qatari leadership’s wisdom in managing this crisis, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shenawy said.

President Sisi also lauded Qatar’s military capabilities, particularly the efficiency of its air defense systems in repelling the Iranian attack.

The spokesman added that the call also included an exchange of views on the latest regional developments in the Middle East and efforts to establish peace, including the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, in addition to intensive Egyptian-Qatari coordination aimed at achieving de-escalation and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
