CAIRO, June 21 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Saturday took part in the inaugural session of the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Turkey.
The two-day event is held under the theme: “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a Transforming World”.
Abdelatty's participation aims to highlight Egypt’s efforts in handling the accelerating developments and growing challenges facing the region.
Also, the foreign minister's participation is meant to demonstrate the country's eagerness to engage in a coordinated dialogue with sisterly countries to come up with a unified vision to de-escalate ongoing conflicts, push for reaching a ceasefire, and resume diplomatic efforts, in order to prevent the region from sliding into further instability and chaos.
