DAMANHUR, Egypt, June 14 (MENA) – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday inspected "Kitabak" (Your Book) cultural initiative in Zawyet Saqr village, which is located in Abu El Matamir district, Beheira governorate.
During his tour, the premier reaffirmed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Egyptians through implementing developmental, social, and cultural projects aimed at improving the living standards, expanding basic services, and promoting social awareness.
Madbouli emphasized that promoting culture and knowledge, particularly among children and youth, is a cornerstone of building a well-informed and enlightened society.
He highlighted the project’s goal to foster a love for reading and learning as part of human development and societal growth.
Kitabak initiative is recognized as a crucial project in cultural and community development, undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture as part of the presidential initiative "Decent Life".
The project aims to enhance culture and knowledge among various segments of society, especially children and youth, and to encourage them to read and learn, recognizing these as fundamental pillars in human development and fostering awareness.
Meanwhile, Beheira Governor Jacqueline Azer said that “Kitabak” is one of nearly 4,000 ongoing projects under “Decent Life” in Beheira, spanning sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, youth support, and job creation.
The “Kitabak” project currently includes 28 cultural outlets in various villages and towns throughout Beheira, including the one visited in Zawyet Saqr.
These venues serve as community hubs for access to books, reading sessions, and cultural engagement. (MENA)
