CAIRO, May 25 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting constructive cooperation and promoting development and peace efforts in Africa.
Sisi made the remarks on the occasion of Africa Day, which is observed on May 25 of every year.
"On the 25th of May each year, we celebrate Africa Day, a day of unity and solidarity. It symbolizes the aspirations of African nations for a bright future and sustainable development," Sisi said in a post on his Facebook page.
"Egypt, which is deeply rooted in African history, reaffirms its unwavering commitment to fostering constructive cooperation and promoting development and peace efforts across the entire continent," the president added.
"Together, we shall build a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow for the people of Africa. May Africa stand strong, united, and steadfast in its pursuit of this espoused progress," Sisi noted. (MENA)
