CAIRO, May 5 (MENA) - The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Monday stressed that all locally marketed petroleum products, including gasoline, undergo rigorous, periodic monitoring throughout production and distribution to ensure compliance with standard Egyptian specifications.

The statement follows concerns raised on social media about gasoline quality.

Analysis of gasoline samples, both from distribution warehouses and independent samples taken nationally by accredited bodies, confirms conformity with these standards, the ministry said.

According to the statement: “major marketing companies, including Misr Petroleum and COOP, reported receiving no customer complaints regarding gasoline quality. Gasoline analysis certificates issued throughout April and to date also demonstrate continued compliance. To further enhance oversight, additional inspection teams have been deployed to collect gasoline samples directly from gas stations nationwide.”

“The ministry emphasizes its commitment to ongoing monitoring and inspection to ensure product quality and prevent tampering. Citizens can report issues via the hotline 16528.”

The ministry reaffirmed its dedication to providing high-quality, safe petroleum products to serve citizens' interests, stabilize the local market, and meet all demands. (MENA)
