CAIRO, May 4 (MENA) - Adel Abdel Fadil, Head of the Manpower Committee at the House of Representatives and Deputy chairman of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, hailed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's endorsement of Egypt’s new Labor Law during the Labor Day celebrations held in Suez on Saturday.
In statements to MENA Sunday, he said the new law, which benefits more than 30 million people, organizes ministerial resolutions to be issued by ministers concerned in less than 90 days of its publication in the official gazette.
Abdel Fadil praised the president's interest in seasonal workers pointing out to the safety document and insurance law to protect their rights.
The new labor law introduces updated protections for workers, guarantees fair treatment, supports women's employment rights, and aligns with international agreements. It aims to create a stable and fair work environment across sectors.
President Sisi directed the government to finalize the domestic workers’ law, expand social protection for informal workers, provide support grants in cases of death, and reduce delays in labor dispute resolutions. (MENA)
