CAIRO, Aug 16 (MENA) - A well-placed source told MENA on Wednesday that the controversial plane - that left Cairo Airport over the past hours towards Zambia - is a private aircraft that made a transit stop at Cairo Airport and was inspected.

The non-Egyptian plane is committed to safety and security measures adopted by all Egyptian airports, the source said.

As for the presence of another airplane seized by the Zambian authorities, the source said this plane has not passed through the Egyptian skies in the first place.

The source noted that coordination is underway between the Egyptian and Zambian authorities to stand on the facts and circumstances of the incident. (MENA)
