CAIRO, Nov 28 (MENA) - CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) Sherif Sedky and head of the Portuguese Space Agency (PSA) Ricardo Conde signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for knowledge-sharing and entrenching space technologies in Egypt and Portugal.

The deal also covers providing training and qualification opportunities, especially for African cadres, according to a statement posted by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on its official Facebook page on Monday.

It was signed as part of Sedky's recent visit to Portugal, during which the Egyptian and Portuguese officials reviewed ways to promote mutual cooperation on the peaceful uses of the outer space, as well as relevant modern technologies and applications.

Sedky also held separate meetings with some officials from the Portuguese Centre of Engineering and Product Development (CEiiA) who familiarized him with the Centre's scientific and technical capabilities, said Egyptian Ambassador to Portugal Wael El-Naggar.

CEiiA designs, develops, and operates innovative products in the mobility industries, namely Automotive and Urban Mobility, Aeronautics, Oceans, and Space.(MENA)
