President Sisi went on to say that he discussed with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) governor the possibility of providing a partial funding for enhancing the efficiency of tourism facilities' infrastructure, as they could receive visitors once the coronavirus crisis ends.

With regard to the civil aviation industry, the president noted that he asked the finance minister to consider bearing some of the civil aviation sector’s financial burdens in view of the current hard circumstances, as well as disbursing 30% of the exporters' dues from the Export Support Fund, before the end of the current fiscal year.

The president said that he issued directives for allocating during a period of three months an EGP 500 monthly grant for each irregular worker affected by the coronavirus repercussions.

He noted that instructions were given to accelerate the establishment of 250,000 social housing units, in addition to finalizing the construction of another 100,000 units for the relocation of inhabitants of unsafe residential areas.

The president added that he called for backing affected companies and institutions through allowing them to pay their tax receivables in three installments that expire on June 30, as well as postponing the payment of the real estate tax for three months, without incurring any fines or interest.

He unveiled that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises were granted a further six-month grace period to pay their insurance premiums on insurance policies against the risk of non-payment. (MORE)
