DUBLIN, July 10 (MENA) – Egypt's Ambassador to Ireland Mohamed Tharwat Selim met with Robert Troy, Ireland's Minister of State at the Department of Finance with special responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance, to explore ways of enhancing cooperation in financial services, including fintech, insurance, and capital markets.
Selim emphasized Egypt's interest in exchanging experience with Ireland's relevant oversight and regulatory bodies.
Both sides also discussed means of promoting investment, exchanging visits by relevant officials, and leveraging Egypt's legislative and economic reforms to attract Irish businesses.
Troy showed Ireland's interest in tapping into Egypt's digital economy and financial innovation. The two sides agreed to maintain coordination through upcoming high-level exchanges.
