RAMALLAH, July 9 (MENA) - The Palestinian National Council (PNC) said Wednesday massacres committed by Israeli occupation against families in the Gaza Strip represent the most horrific forms of genocide, the latest of which were the massacres against the Jouda family in Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City and the Shaaban family in Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

The PNC said these crimes are not isolated incidents but part of a systematic and organized effort to terrorize the Palestinian people, force them to flee and carry out forced displacement in order to empty the land of its people by destroying the social fabric and killing entire families.

In a statement carried out by Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) the Council said, these massacres bring back into focus the bloody foundation of the occupation state; established on the ruins of the bodies of innocent people and the depopulated and massacred Palestinian villages since the Nakba of 1948.

What is happening now amounts to mass family executions under the guise of fighting terrorism and self-defense, in the face of international paralysis and moral and political complicity, it said. According to official statistics, the occupation has committed over 12,200 massacres, including the complete extermination of 2,700 Palestinian families who were erased from the civil registry, added the statement.

The PNC said what is happening in Gaza is a full-fledged ethnic cleansing crime being carried out openly with Western military tools and with political support from countries that claim to protect human rights while remaining silent about the massacres and ignoring the ongoing holocaust against innocent civilians, it said.

The Council held the international community fully responsible for these crimes, condemned the silence of some countries and emphasized that the Palestinian people remain steadfast on their land and committed to their rights, added the statement. (MENA)
