CAIRO, July 8 (MENA) - The House of Representatives, under Speaker Hanafy el-Gebaly continued assuming parliamentary duties during the 5th regular session of the second legislative term in line with Constitution and the House of Representatives Bylaw to serve both the nation and its citizens.

During this 5th session, the House held 62 plenary sessions, totaling 220 hours, as 186 draft laws, comprising 2,635 articles in total had been discussed and approved.

The House also passed 63 international agreements.

The 5th session also witnessed intensified diplomatic activities as MPs maintained active and consistent participation in their assemblies and organizations’ work, especially in light of Egypt’s presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PAUfM). (MENA)
