MUSCAT, June 23 (MENA) - Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman and King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed the escalating regional developments and their serious repercussions especially following the recent US strikes on Iran.

During a phone call Monday, the two leaders stressed the need for concerted regional and international efforts, according to Oman News Agency (ONA).

They also highlighted the importance of intensify coordination and consultations to halt the escalation and quell the flames of war, both in the Gaza Strip and in connection with the ongoing conflict stemming from Israeli aggression against Iran.

The two sides emphasized the importance of resuming a peaceful path of dialogue and negotiation to pursue political solutions to all crises and disputes, in line with the principles of international law, in a way that safeguards regional security and stability and protects its peoples from the dangers and repercussions of ongoing conflict.
