SOFIA, June 17 (MENA) - The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that an operation is underway to evacuate Bulgarian nationals from Israel, following requests for assistance, the Bulgarian News Agency reported.

The evacuation is being carried out via a "route that has been assessed as optimal in the current situation," the ministry said, without providing further details due to security considerations.

Additional information will be made public after the operation is complete, the ministry added.

A group of Bulgarian citizens have already been evacuated with the assistance of the Bulgarian Embassy in Tel Aviv, it noted. (MENA)
