CAIRO, June 15 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held contacts on Sunday with the Egyptian diplomatic mission in Tehran to check on the safety and well-being of Egyptian nationals residing in various cities across Iran.

This comes amid heightened regional tensions and military escalation.

Abdelatty instructed the mission to provide full support and care to all members of the Egyptian community and to remain vigilant in light of the evolving situation.

The Egyptian mission in Tehran said all Egyptian nationals are safe and have not been harmed as a result of the military strikes on Iran.

The top diplomat directed the diplomatic staff to maintain round-the-clock contacts and strengthen communication channels with the Egyptian community, to respond promptly to any issues that may arise, and to continue closely monitoring and assessing developments on the ground.

Also, the foreign ministry issued an advisory requesting all Egyptian nationals in Iran to keep cautious and remain in safe locations and to immediately report any difficulties to the Egyptian mission. (MENA)
