RAMALLAH, June 15 (MENA) - The Palestinian death toll resulting from attacks since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023 has risen to 55,362.
The number of injured since the beginning of the onslaught climbed to 128,741.
The majority of the victims are women and children, WAFA news agency reported on Sunday.
At least 65 Palestinians were killed and 315 others injured in the Gaza Strip over the last 48 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli assaults, according to medical sources.
According to WAFA, the death toll since Israel’s resumption of the genocide on March 18 after a two-month truce has increased to 5,071, in addition to 16,700 others injured.
Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews, according to the health authorities.
Israel's ruthless offensive continues undeterred despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. (MENA)
