CAIRO, June 11 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired Wednesday a meeting of the supreme committee in charge of organizing the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)'s inauguration ceremony.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir along with other senior officials.

Madbouli said today's meeting aims to review the final touches of the inauguration ceremony and ensure that all arrangements are in place.

He said field visits would continue to follow up on every detail on the ground.

Madbouli stressed his keenness to closely follow up on the museum's inauguration preparations, including executive and logistical arrangements, guest reception protocols, security measures, and transportation from guests' accommodations to the museum.

Meanwhile, Wazir presented a report on the workflow of projects carried out by the Ministry of Transport in the vicinity of the museum.

He reviewed the progress rate of the development project of the Cairo Ring Road, being implemented over 110 km.

Wazir also discussed the implementation status of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, which has undergone pilot operation in some areas. The project includes 48 stations across the governorates of Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia.

He also reviewed the workflow of the first stage of the fourth metro line, which will serve the Grand Egyptian Museum. This 17-station stage will connect the 6th of October City with New Cairo, passing through the Giza Plateau and the museum. (MENA)
