Foreign Minister Abdelatty confirmed Egypt’s readiness to support Gambia in achieving its national development goals and five-year strategic plan.
This includes cooperation across pharmaceuticals, trade, technology, and training.
During talks with Gambian Foreign Minister Mamadou Tangara, Abdelatty proposed industrial cooperation in pharmaceuticals, offering technology transfer to help boost local production in Gambia.
Discussions also addressed increasing trade volumes and removing existing barriers through direct maritime routes linking Egyptian ports with West Africa harbors.
The Egyptian top diplomat affirmed that Egypt will receive young Gambian diplomats for training at the Foreign Ministry’s Diplomatic Studies Institute.
Abdelatty added that Gambia has already taken part in 78 training programs through the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development, covering a wide range of fields. (MORE)
