For his part, Ibrahimović noted that his visit represents an opportunity to strengthen and deepen the historical ties between the two nations.

He added that the discussions covered many issues of mutual bilateral and global interest.

Ibrahimović praised Egypt’s role in the Arab League and in the region, pointing out that Montenegro holds Egypt in high regard and expects strong opportunities for further investment, trade, tourism and cultural cooperation, in addition to enhancing parliamentary relations.

He also welcomed the memoranda of understanding signed today with Egypt, affirming that these agreements represent a step forward in strengthening bilateral ties and offer a great opportunity to boost cooperation, particularly in the field of tourism.

Regarding the distinguished relations between Egypt and Montenegro, Abdelatty affirmed that the two countries share a longstanding historical relationship.

He noted that establishing a shipping line would boost bilateral ties further and emphasized that many Egyptian goods are already entering the Montenegrin market.

In response to a question about Montenegro’s stance on Israeli actions in Gaza, Deputy PM Ibrahimović said that Montenegro opposes the escalation of the conflict pointing out to the breach of the ceasefire agreement.

He expressed hope for a future period marked by peace, stressing that innocent Palestinian women and children should not be victims of this conflict.
