CAIRO, Feb 14 (MENA) - An official Egyptian source confirmed that Egypt's stance remains steadfast in supporting the rights of the Palestinians and working to alleviate their suffering.

According to Al Qahera News Channel, the source said Egypt has always been and continues to be a strong supporter of the Palestinian cause, bearing great burdens to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip amidst the tough conditions it is enduring.

The source added that Egypt calls on the international community to increase support for the Palestinians and intensify efforts to help them overcome the humanitarian disaster they are being subjected to.

The source highlighted that Egypt provides about 70% of the humanitarian aid entering the war-devastated Gaza Strip, stressing that Egypt does not charge any fees for delivering aid, contrary to allegations that have recently been circulated.

The source emphasized that Egypt's efforts to support Gaza are ongoing, citing the recent entry of hundreds of containers to provide temporary shelter for the displaced who lost their homes due to the widespread destruction.

The official concluded by stating that Egypt is doing everything in its power to support the Palestinian people, both through political efforts and by providing on-the-ground humanitarian assistance.
