CAIRO, May 14 (MENA) - The Information and Decision Support Center (IDCS) of the Egyptian cabinet has affirmed that the global household appliances market reached approximately $708.2 billion in 2023, and is expected to reach $742.6 billion in 2024 and $1.2 trillion by 2032.

IDCS said that Egypt is becoming a destination for many global companies seeking to transform the country into a hub for manufacturing and exporting household appliances, adding that this industry adds significance to economical growth.

This came in a report prepared by IDCS, which referred to the global exports of household appliances that reached around $10.6 billion in 2022 while imports amounted to about $8.6 billion.

Egypt boasts an active and diverse household appliances market, offering a wide array of brands and products across various price points.

It added that Egypt’s appliances industry is part of its strategy to boost exports, with incentives such as tax exemptions for ten years and material support benefiting most factories, particularly those in new cities. (MENA)
