The Association of Veterans and War Victims organized a press conference to announce the activities and events scheduled to be implemented during this national occasion in commemoration of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Riad, the former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, on March 9, 1969. Major General Ahmad Medhat Abdel Aziz Fawi, Director of the Veterans Association, confirmed During the proceedings of the conference, the victims of war stated that the armed forces spare no effort in providing all aspects of support and health, sports and social care to their members, including the families of martyrs and those injured in war operations, in appreciation of the sacrifices they made to keep the nation’s flag flying high.
