Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, accompanied by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, and a number of commanders of the armed forces, congratulated His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria, Patriarch of the See of Mark, on the occasion of Christmas, at the headquarters of the St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya. Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki pointed out that celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ represents a revival of the values of love, tolerance and peace called for by heavenly laws to spread goodness on earth and reject extremism, expressing his pride in the donations of Coptic armed forces men who are performing their national duties to preserve the soil of this country.
