The Navy received the MEKO-A200 frigate “Al-Qadir” after completing the receipt procedures in the German city of Bremerhaven to join the Egyptian naval fleet. It was built by the TKMS company at the German SBN arsenal in accordance with the latest international systems in armament systems and combat efficiency. This is within the framework of enhancing the capabilities of the Egyptian naval forces and supporting Egyptian-German military cooperation relations.The Commander of the Naval Forces, Lieutenant General Ashraf Atwa, raised the Egyptian flag on the “Al-Qadir” frigate, which is the third out of four MEKO-A200 frigates contracted between Egypt and Germany, in the presence of a number of commanders of the Egyptian and German naval forces, the Egyptian ambassador to Germany, and the military attaché. Al-Masry in Germany and a number of representatives of the German company (TKMS), which manufactured the “Al-Qadeer” frigate.
