Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, participated in the activities of the first Arab conference "Intellectual Property and Applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution - Lessons Learned from the Japanese and Arab Experiences", which was organized by the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development and the League of Arab States, during the period from 22-23 This May, with the participation of experts from 11 Arab and foreign countries. In his speech, the Governor stressed the importance of the conference, which comes within the framework of the state's vision and the directives of the political leadership, pointing out that protection for innovative ideas helps implement the requirements of digital transformation, and the trend towards digitization in all fields and fields. He explained that intellectual property protection contributes greatly to encouraging innovation and creativity and creating an incentive for the inventor or innovator to put his invention or innovation into practice, which is in the interest of society, pointing out that the Japanese experience is one of the leading experiences in the field of intellectual property protection and digital transformation.
